The Full Story
Dr. Cindy Frederickson is a pediatric audiologist with expertise in both clinical and educational settings. She earned her clinical doctorate of audiology from Gallaudet University.
When people ask Dr. Cindy, "why audiology?", her answer is always, "audiology chose me". Since the first grade, when Dr. Cindy first started to learn ASL, she was hooked to learning ASL as a second language and immersing herself within the Deaf community. During undergrad, she studied abroad in South Africa and had the opportunity to complete a month long internship at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in the audiology department. During her time abroad, she also observed different schools for the Deaf in Durban and Cape Town. Though these experiences were life changing, it wasn't until Dr. Cindy applied to and was accepted to her top choice, Gallaudet University's Doctor of Audiology program, that she chose audiology too.
With over 20 years of working with children, specializing in infants and children with additional disabilities, Dr. Cindy's love and passion for supporting children with hearing loss and their families drove her to open BAER Audiology. Above all, Dr. Cindy's desire is that BAER Audiology is a safe place for every family to learn, expand, and grow.
With an innate love for the Southern California palm trees and the mountains of Alaska, Dr. Cindy is dually licensed in both states. When she isn't running BAER Audiology, you can find her exploring the world with her family.

BAER Audiology's mission is to empower deaf and hard-of-hearing children to be their own hero. This is achieved through creating a safe space for the deaf and hard-of-hearing to be free to be themselves. At BAER Audiology, we believe this is different for every child and for every family - one size does not fit all and as your child develops, your needs change. We provide the resources and guidance you need for your child by providing adaptable, evolving services to address hearing, auditory processing, psycho-emotional health, and options for language fluency.
